Deleting the Shader Cache folder (s) is the only way, I think. You should be able to do it. Disable Shader Cache globally in Nvidia Control Panel, reboot, and delete the Shader Cache folders from both %TEMP% and C:\Windows\Temp. Then re-enable Shader Cache and reboot again.

That was the natural extension of GCN, just the same way as nvidia changes the ratio of compute cores and CUDA units between generation to maintain efficiency with scaling.

I'd recommend contacting AMD so that they can fix this. Some users suggested that using the Optional AMD Drivers solved the issue for them. If you install them, do not forget to 'Clear the Cache' before launching the game, so that your shaders cache can be regenerated.

You don't want to turn on driver level shader caching for games that rolled their own shader cache, like No Man's Sky. If you're lucky, it would do nothing at all. If you're unlucky, it might work, and then you're caching stuff twice which can only cause problems. And turning it off doesn't delete the AMD cache files, you have to do that manually.
